Albert Coil

Albert L. Coil, 78, of Browning died at 4:10 p.m. June 29, 2008, at his home.

He was born Aug. 12, 1929, in Sioux Falls, S.D., a son of Henry and Estella Harper Coil. He married Evelyn Grace Thompson on Oct. 9, 1951, in Peoria. She survives.

Also surviving are two sons, David (and Bernice) Coil and Jim (and Bettie) Coil, both of Browning; one daughter, Anita (and Orvel) Hall of Rushville; one sister, Martha Elliott of Falls Church, Va.; two grandchildren; two step-grandchildren and four step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by five brothers, Floyd, Don, Ross, Carroll and Benjamin Coil.

He worked for 20 years at Caterpillar in East Peoria and 20 years at Illinois Power in Havana.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Gary Sheets officiating. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Astoria Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the family in care of Farmers State Bank of Astoria.
