James ClarkJames D. Clark, 80, of Rushville died at 9:38 p.m. Jan. 30, 2008, at Snyder’s Vaughn-Haven Nursing Home.

He was born Aug. 23, 1927, in Brown County, a son of Roy Edwin and Mary Lucille Veith Clark. He married Fern Dozier on Dec. 20, 1948, in Angola, Ind. She survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Linda (and Wes) Crum of Cottondale, Ala., and Evelyn (and Scott) Thompson of Rushville; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

He was a member of Rushville First Southern Baptist Church.

He had been a farmer; worked at McGraw Edison in Macomb; was a painting contractor; worked tow boats on the Illinois and Mississippi rivers; and worked for the maintenance department at Culbertson Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1982.

Services were held Monday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Mike Hall officiating. Inurnment was in Rushville City Cemetery.
