FRANCES L. (WEBER) CLEER

Frances Cleer

Frances CleerFrances L. Cleer, 95, of Morton, formerly of Lewistown, died at 9:30 p.m. Nov. 1, 2006, at Morton Terrace Care Center.

She was born July 14, 1911, in rural Lewistown, the daughter of Nicholas and Ruth Belle Camp Weber. She married Arlie B. Cleer on May 1, 1937, in Lewistown. He died Sept. 11, 1993.

Also preceding her in death were one son, Bernard; and one brother, Lyle Weber.

Surviving are two sons, Richard (and Kathy) of Ipava and Donald of Urbana, Ohio; three daughters, Ruth Ann Dowell of Pekin, Susan Kay Ortel of Canton and Betty Cleer of Moline; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Isabel Church in rural Lewistown.

She was a 4-H leader for seven years and also was a seamstress. She was a member of the Amaquonsippi Chapter of DAR. She also had been a member of the Fulton County Home Extension Bureau.

A private family graveside service was held. A celebration of life ceremony will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 12, at her home, 8088 N. US Hwy. 24, Lewistown, with Rev. Doug Krukewitt officiating. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
