F. Leonard Clark Jr., 76, of Havana died at 5:38 p.m. Saturday, April 12, 2003, at Havana Healthcare Center.

He was born March 21, 1927, in Augusta, a son of Francis Leonard Sr. and Mary Viola Drewes Clark. He married Vera E. Morris on Nov. 19, 1948, in Manito. She survives.

Also surviving are five sons, F. Leonard III (and Diane) of Pekin, Joseph of Pflugerville, Texas, Eugene of Hopedale, James of Havana and John (and Melanie) of Lewistown; one daughter, Rebecca (and Mark) Starbuck of Ipava; one brother, John Clark of Bushnell, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.

He was preceded in death by one grandson and one brother.

He was a World War II Navy veteran.

He worked at Herrmann & Clark Livestock Order Buyer Co.

He then worked for Caterpillar Inc. from 1965 until retiring in 1982 as a management line supervisor.

He later worked as a sub-postal delivery person for Rural Route 2 in Havana.

He was a member of the Fulton County Farm Bureau and the Kerton Township Board.

He was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association.

He was a chairman of the Hickory Cemetery Association.

He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Havana and its choir and St. Paul Foundation.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. today at his church with Rev. Martin Liebmann Jr. officiating. Visitation will be one hour before services at the church. Burial will be in Hickory Cemetery in Fulton County. Hurley Funeral Home in Havana is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to his church.
