Laura Carlson, 84, of Ipava, died at 3:40 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1998, at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville.
She was born Sept. 30, 1913, in St. Louis, a daughter of Joseph and Helen Elba Brztowski. She married Carl R. Carlson on May 22, 1938, in Palatine. He died March 15, 1993. She also was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.
Surviving are one son, Carl Jr. of Ipava; two granddaughters; six brothers, Henry Brztowski, George Brztowski, Lambert Brztowski, Robert Brztowski, Jerry Brztowski and Eddie Brztowski, all of Palatine; and two sisters, Wanda Bruns of Palatine and Millie Hullett of Florida.
She was a member of Ipava United Presbyterian Church.
Services were held Monday at St. Paul’s Church of Christ in Palatine with Rev. William Abernathy officiating. Burial was in South Side Cemetery in Palatine.
Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
