Betty Chambers

Betty J. Chambers, 52, of Bushnell, died at 3:10 a.m. Monday, April 15, 1996, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.

She was born June 29, 1943, in Walnut Grove to Thomas and Mable A. Pestle Mason. She married A. Wayne Chambers on June 28, 1962, in Bushnell. He survives.

Also surviving are her father and stepmother, Mr. and Mrs. Tom Mason of Bushnell; three sons, Thomas and Anthony, both of Bushnell, and Allan of Ellisville; one daughter, Mrs. Mike (Teresa) McFadden of Adair, two brothers, Larry of Marietta and Tom of Niantic, Conn.; four sisters, Mrs. Alan (Wanda) Post of Peoria, Kathy Hiel of Prairie City, Mrs. Gerald (Mary) Grant of Kincaid, W. Va., and Mrs. Ron (Ruby) Knapp of Kensington, Conn.; and eight grandchildren.

She worked for Bushnell Municipal Utilities for more than 10 years. She was a member of Bushnell Nazarene Church, where she was pianist.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Martin-Hollis Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Ingram, Curt Aires, and Leo Hanks officiating. Burial will be in Bushnell Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Lupus Society or her church.
