FLORENCE Z. (COX) CAMPBELL

Florence Campbell

Florence Z. Campbell, 99, of Canton, a former Vermont resident died Saturday, March 9, 1996, at 7 p.m. at the Heartland Health Care Center in Canton.

She was born May 7, 1896, in Vermont, the daughter of Eben F. and Alta Adams Cox.

She is survived by four sons, Lengene Campbell of Clifton, Eben L. Campbell of Bloomington, James L. Campbell of Cardiff By The Sea, Calif., and John E. Campbell of Bloomington; 16 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren; 3 nieces and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and one grandchild.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Canton, Thomas Walter Chapter of the DAR, Canton Museum, Business & Professional Women, AARP and the USO during WWII. She worked for Sears for many years as a salesperson.

A private funeral will be held this afternoon at the Kost Memorial Home in Veront with Rev. Larry Campbell officiating. Burial will be in the Vermont Cemetery. Visitation will be today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Canton Youth Fund.
