Joan Elizabeth Cripe, 59, of Springfield died at 2:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, 1995, at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield.
She was born Dec. 6, 1935, in Jacksonville, a daughter of John and Amanda Elizabeth Grady Kruse. She married John Cripe on July 9, 1950. He survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Jean Ann Knoedler and Jonnell Baskett, both of Springfield; two grandchildren, Fred “Tad” Baskett IV and Jon Quinton Baskett, both of Springfield; her mother of Springfield; and one sister, Phyllis Cantrell of Springfield.
She was preceded in death by her father.
She was a resident of Springfield since 1956 where she worked as a financial secretary. She was a member of Southside Christian Church.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Southside Christian Church with Bob Green officiating. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tonight at Staab Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ashland Cemetery.
