Robert CurlessRobert CurlessRobert L. Curless, 68, of Astoria, died at 12:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 1995, at his home.
He was born Nov. 27, 1926 in Astoria, a son of James M. and Colla L. Emerson Curless.
Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Steven (Robin) Chaffee of Perris, Calif.; and one granddaughter, Alexa Chaffee.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James.
He was a 50 year member of the Astoria American Legion Post #25 and a member of the Astoria United Methodist Church. He was employed at Astoria Fibra Steel Plant and a Navy veteran of WWII.
Funeral services were held Monday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria with Rev. Lance Leeds and Gary Sheets officiating. Burial was in Astoria Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Astoria Township Cemeteries, Astoria Rescue Squad or the American Cancer Society.
