THURMAN D. CUNNINGHAM

T. D. Cunningham Of Beardstown Dies

Thurman D. Cunningham, 100, of Beardstown, died at 7:50 a.m. Friday, Dec. 14, 1990, at St. Luke Long Term Care Facility.

He was born Dec. 22, 1889, in Atlanta, Kans., the son of David Alexander and Sarah Jane Robbins Cunningham. He married Telsie Grisham in 1912 in Lewistown. She died in 1961. He later married Neta Crum on March 10, 1974 in Beardstown. She preceded him in death on March 1, 1990.

He was also preceded in death by one son, Leroy Cunningham, five sisters and one brother.

He is survived by two grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two stepsons, James Crum of Blue Springs, Kans. and Lyle Spear of Bloomington.

He was a retired farmer after 48 years in agriculture. He was also a lifelong member of the R.L.D.S. Church of Beardstown.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, at Cline Funeral Home in Beardstown. Burial was in the Astoria Cemetery.
