Hazel Churchill Of Cuba Dies

Hazel J. Churchill, 92, of Cuba, died at 7 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, 1990, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba, where she was a resident.

She was born Feb. 21, 1898, in Washington, D.C., a daughter of Harry and Annie Dalby. She married James Churchill on Oct. 16, 1917, in Lewistown. He died in 1968.

She also was preceded in death by five sons and a daughter.

She is survived by two sons, Burton of Slidell, La., and James of Vancouver, Wash.; five daughters, Mae Walters of Hamilton, Nina Shumaker of Lewistown, Iva Davison of Canton, Florence Hampton and Lorena Beaird, both of Vermont; 30 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was a member of Cuba Christian Church.

Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. this morning at the Cuba Cemetery with Rev. Rod Suydam officiating. Hukill-Henry Memorial Home in Cuba is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
