FRANCES (BAILEY) CLAUSON

Frances Clauson Dies At Age 78

Frances Clauson, 78, of Tennessee, died at 4:55 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 21, 1990, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb.

She was born Oct. 25, 1912, in Ashland, a daughter of Charles and Bertha Connors Bailey. She married Orie E. Clauson on March 21, 1931 in Canton. He died March 30, 1981.

One son, Robert, and three brothers also preceded her in death.

Surviving are four daughters, Mrs. Kermit (Delores) Royer and Mrs. Russell (Ruth) Phillips, both of Tennessee, Mrs. John (Lola) Decker of Macomb and Mrs. Ronald (Joyce) Ingram of Grafton, Va.; 17 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Charles Bailey of Arkansas and Gerald Bailey of Bartonville; and two sisters, Mrs. Joe (Virginia) Olson of Bartonville and Mrs. Robert (Lorene) Chandler of Secor.

She formerly lived in Peoria and Vermont, Ill. She was a member of Colchester’s Rebekah Lodge and attended Tennessee United Methodist Church. For many years she was a bookkeeper for her husband, whose business was Clauson’s Fertilizer of Tennessee.

Services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Jones Mortuary in Colchester with Rev. Jim Shearouse officiating. Burial was in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens, Macomb.

Memorials may be made to Tennessee United Methodist Church.
