Mrs. Thelma Cleavinger, 70, of 427 W. Woodbury, Macomb, died at 7:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 1985, in Macomb Manor Nursing Home.
She was born June 8, 1914, in McDonough County, a daughter of Everett and Lucy Grimm Matheny. She married Roosevelt Cleavinger Sept. 23, 1941. He died Aug. 4, 1982.
Surviving are one daughter, Alberta Cleavinger of Macomb; one son, George L. Cleavinger of Vermont, Ill.; three grandchildren; and one sister, Estell Rittenhouse of Beardstown.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Chapel in Macomb with Donald Oftedahl officiating. Burial was in Vance Cemetery in McDonough County.
