Arthur Chenoweth Of Canton Dies

Arthur R. Chenoweth, 81, of 506 N. Sixth, Canton, died at 1:18 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, 1980, in Graham Hospital in Canton.

Born March 10, 1899, in Table Grove, a son of W. H. and Dollie Swise Chenoweth, he married Hazel R. Roberts Nov. 18, 1921, in Washington, Iowa. She died April 22, 1978.

Two sons, two brothers and one sister also preceded him.

Surviving are two sons, Ross O. of Canton and Raymond of Decatur; six grandchildren; two brothers, Harry and Elzie, both of Macomb; and two sisters, Mrs. Della Boyer of Bradenton, Fla., and Mrs. Lola Rauch of Ipava.

He was a machinist at International Harvester Co. 27 years, retiring in 1963. He was a member of Machinists Union, Local 1145 at IHC.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Oaks Memorial Chapel in Canton with Rev. John H. Ashley officiating. Burial was in White Chapel Memory Gardens.
