VeteranRonald Chambers Dies In Texas

Mrs. Anna Seward of Ipava received word of the death of her nephew, Ronald Chambers, who died on Oct. 27, 1980 in the Good Shepherd Hospital in Longview, Tex. He was in his 50’s.

Mr. Chambers, the son of Curtis and Rachel Johnson Chambers, was born in Fulton County near Bernadotte. He was raised in that area and also resided in Bushnell prior to serving in World War II. He received injuries in the war.

He went to Texas after being discharged from the services and married a woman from Texas. She preceded him in death about a year ago.

His children survive. Also surviving are one sister, Erma Johnson of Abingdon and two brothers, Doyle Chambers of Ipava and Clifford Chambers of Kansas City, Mo.

One sister, Myrle, and two brothers, Herbert and Alfred Chambers, are deceased.

Several relatives in this area also survive.

Funeral services and burial were held in Texas.
