Mrs. Ruth Caster Of Beardstown Dies

Mrs. Lawrence (Ruth) Caster, 72, of 603 West Main Street, Beardstown, died at Culbertson Memorial Hospital in Rushville Monday at 4:55 p.m.

She was born at Astoria on June 23, 1897, the daughter of James and Arthusa Anderson Wright. She was married to Lawrence Caster on April 24, 1920 at Lewistown who survives.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter in infancy, two brothers and one sister.

Other survivors are one daughter, Mrs. Norma Madden of Beardstown; one son, Robert “Beanie” Caster of Joliet; four sisters, Mrs. Florence Sandidge of Beardstown, Mrs. Edith Maxwell of Astoria, Mrs. Helen Hohn of Flint, Mich., and Mrs. Nettie Stewart of Morris.

Funeral services will be held at the Cline Funeral Home Thursday at 1:30 p.m. with Rev. Howard Stevens of Calvary Baptist Church of Beardstown officiating.

Friends may call at the Cline Funeral Home Wednesday from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Burial will be in North Sugar Grove Cemetery north of Rushville.
