Former Astoria Resident Dies In Champaign

Donald (Don) Camp, 56, former operator of a filling station near Duncans Mill for many years, and a former resident of Astoria, died in Champaign last Wednesday evening, where he had resided for several months.

Mr. Camp, who had been ill for the past two and one-half years was born Sept. 30, 1892 in Astoria, a son of Adam and Nancy Jane (Hagan) Camp. He was married July 1, 1914, to Miss Beulah Holmes, who with one child, Mrs. Christine Smith of Champaign, survives. Alva Camp, Table Grove and Orley Camp of Lewistown are brothers. Sisters are Mrs. Belle Weber, Mrs. Sylvia Brainard and Flossie Bainter of Lewistown and Mrs. Anna Schuman of Canton.

Funeral services were conducted at 3 o’clock Friday afternoon at the Zimmerman and Henry Funeral chapel in Lewistown, by the Rev. E. E. Catlin of Ipava. Burial was in Oak Hill cemetery.
