JAMES CONNOR

James Connor

The unknown man whose body, in a badly decomposed condition, was found last June in a barn at Abingdon, has been identified as being James Connor, at one time a resident of Mt. Sterling. According to information given by a wayfarer, Mr. Connor had at one time been a tile floor setter, working in St. Louis, but in later years had not been able to work at his trade. He had been sick much of the time, and several months before his body was found he had been sick for several weeks, and the informant had helped care for him. He said that Mr. Connor made his living making wire kitchen utensils, and was an expert in honing and sharpening razors. He thought his age was about seventy years, and he said several years ago that he had a bank account in Mt. Sterling.
