JULIA (VAN MIDDLESWORTH) CARVER

Woman Despondent Because Of Poor Health Hangs Self

Mrs. Julia Carver, 69, of Breeds, committed suicide late Saturday night by hanging herself from the limb of a tree at the home of her son. Mrs. Carver had been in poor health for the past two years and felt that she had no chance for recovery.

She took advantage of her son’s absence from the home, to carry out her purpose. On his return he found that she was not in her room. Finding a note which revealed what she had done, he investigated and found her body hanging from a maple tree near the residence.
