MARY MARTHA (HASTINGS) COPENHAVER

Mary Copenhaver

VERMONT — Mrs. Mary Copenhaver was born Oct. 16, 1854 and died Sept. 19, 1920 aged 65 years, 11 months and 3 days. Mary Martha Hastings was born near Vermont, Ill., and grew to womanhood in that vicinity. She was united in marriage to Richard D. Copenhaver Sept. 3, 1871, and to this union five children were born, one dying in infancy. Those surviving to mourn the death of a beloved mother are Mrs. Edith Brown, Genoa; William Copenhaver, Mexico, Neb.; Henry C. and Charles, both of Mansfield, Ohio. She united with the Baptist church of Macomb in 1910, while a resident of Macomb for several years. One sister, Mrs. C. P. Willis, of Table Grove, and a half brother, William Hasting, of Astoria, also survive. — Macomb Journal.
