Aged Resident Of Browning Dies

Peter Camp, an aged and highly respected citizen of Browning died at his home last Wednesday, aged 80 years, 8 months and 18 days. Death was due to advanced age and complications.

The deceased was born near Fresden, Coshocton county, Ohio, June 22, 1838. In 1864 Mr. Camp came to Illinois and located in Woodland township, where he spent many years. In 1874 he was united in marriage to Miss Louisa Rogers and to them were born five children, namely: Mrs. Fred Saul, Mrs. Bessie Wetzel, M. F. Camp, Fred Camp and Les Camp, who together with the aged mother and two brothers, Leander and Adam of Astoria and one sister, Mrs. Susan Horton of Comesville, Ia., survive to mourn his death.

Mr. Camp lived a cheerful life and had many friends to regret to learn of his demise. We can say of him that another good citizen has answered the summons of death and leaves a pleasant memory behind.

Funeral services were held in Browning Saturday morning, conducted by Rev. S. C. Williams of Astoria. Interment in the Browning cemetery.

Respected Citizen Passes Away.

BROWNING — Mr. Peter Camp an old citizen of Browning passed away this week. Mr. Camp had been ailing for over a year, but not confined to his bed all of the time.

During the last weeks of his sickness his children, Marion, Fred, Lee and daughter, Mrs. Bert Wetzel have been at the home most of the time. His daughter, Mrs. Fred Saul has been with him all of the time.

The funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, at the home, conducted by Rev. Williams of Astoria.

Interment in the Browning cemetery.
