Rex Carlock

BROWNING — Mrs. Mary Carlock received word of the death of her grandson, Rex Carlock, son of Mr. and Mrs. R. O. Carlock, which occurred at Greely, Colo., Friday evening, the result of pneumonia following the flu. His brother, Doane, and parents were with him at his death. It is not known, yet, whether the remains will be brought back for burial.

Rex Carlock

BROWNING — Rex Orville Carlock was born at Browning, Ill., March 11, 1896, died at Greeley, Colorado, Feb. 6, 1920 of pneumonia following the flu, where he had removed from Quincy, Ill., in the fall of 1919 for the health of his wife, where he had established a prosperous Motor Transfer Company, later taking into partnership his brother, D. M. Carlock of Baylis, Ill.

He was converted and joined the Christian church at Griggsville, Ill., while attending High school at that place in 19193. Rex was the son of Richard and Belle Carlock of Baylis, Ill. He was married at Denver, Colorado, Sept. 26, 1917 to Miss Clara Fern Moore of Baylis, Ill., and leaves to mourn his loss a wife and son, his mother and father, grandmother, two brothers and two sisters and many warm friends. Interment was made in the Mound Prairie cemetery, Beverly, Ill. Monday, February 16, 1920.
