IPAVA — Henry Cooney died at his residence in Ipava, Tuesday, Feb. 6th, aged 87 years, 5 months and 13 days. Mr. Cooney was born in Shippensburg, Penn., Aug. 24, 1812. When he was a child the family moved to Miffin county, where he grew to manhood. He was married in 1837 to Elizabeth Clemens, and to them were born five children, three sons and two daughters, four of whom are now living. These are Mary Parsons, Elizabeth Grewell, George and Henry. He moved from Pennsylvania to Fulton county in 1856, and in 1858 moved to McLean county. He moved back to Ipava in 1874. His wife died in the spring of 1875 at the age of 55. His second marriage was to Mrs. Mary Kline in the fall of 1875. No children were born to this union. The funeral was held at the M. E. church at 11 o’clock a.m., Thursday, Feb. 8th, Rev. W. F. Dudman conducting the services.
