He was born May 5, 1949, in Decatur, the son of Thomas Allen and Delora Stine Brockman. He was married to Laura Spegal on March 25, 2000, in Hannibal, Mo. She survives.
Also surviving are his children, Jennifer Lehman (and Brian) of Vermont, Tom Brockman (and Michell) of Normal and Carrie Miller (and Greg) of Clermont, Fla.; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Phyllis Stine.
He was a meatcutter in Drywall and spent 12 years as a police officer in Palmyra.
Friends and family are invited to Gary’s Life Celebration at a visitation from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel in Palmyra, Mo.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Lewis Brothers Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert Axton officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Frankford, Mo.
