He was born July 19, 1977, in Rushville, a son of Dickie and Sandra Creech Bent. He married Michelle Storr on July 6, 2019, in Fulton County. She survives.
Also surviving are four sons, Andrew Bent of Lewistown, Charlie Bent and Cooper Bent, both of Astoria, and Zain Pemberton of Havana; two bonus sons; one bonus daughter; his parents of Browning; and one brother, Caleb (and Jennifer) Bent of Astoria.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents on both sides of his family.
He worked in Server Management at Western Illinois University. He previously worked at Spoon River College, Lewistown School District, JBS in Beardstown, Stevens Publishing Company in Astoria and L and N Industries in Rushville. He also served as a volunteer fireman for the Astoria Fire and Rescue Squad.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will take place from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
