He was born Nov. 29, 1937, in Carlton, Mo., the son of Mary Bartlett. He married Shelba Lafary on Dec. 12, 1959, in Bushnell. She survives.
Also surviving are four children, Dean Bartlett, Steve (and Julie) Bartlett, Christy (and Blake) Hollenback and Stacy (and Doug) Plummer, all of Adair; and one granddaughter, Chelsea (and Daniel) Baughman, whom he helped raise, also of Adair.
He was preceded in death by his mother and aunt, Julia Kempe, who raised Jerry after his mother’s untimely death.
Cremation rites were accorded by Martin-Hollis Funeral Home in Bushnell. Private graveside burial of ashes were held in the Baughman Cemetery with Pastor Jim Eddy officiating.
