Jane BoydJane L. “Nanny” Boyd, 91, of Lewistown died Feb. 18, 2023, at her home.

She was born Sept. 30, 1931, in Lewistown, a daughter of Isaac and Opal Wilcoxen Harn. She married John H. Boyd on Sept. 30, 1950, in Lewistown. He preceded her in death on Nov. 23, 2009.

She also was preceded in death by one infant son, Donnie Boyd; two brothers; and six sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Rhonda (and Rick) Johnson and Andrea (and Jerry) Mann, both of Lewistown; one brother, Lewis Harn of Lewistown; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

She was a member of the Lewistown VFW Auxiliary and the Lewistown American Legion Auxiliary where she served as president of both organizations. She served as the first leader and president of the Junior Girls Unit. She was instrumental in the Patriot programs at the Lewistown Grade School, and the Jaws of Life Safety programs at the Lewistown High School, for this she was selected Lewistown Citizen of the Month in 1998. In 2016 the former Lewistown American Legion building was named after her. In 2021 she was the Grand Marshal at the Lewistown Homecoming Parade. She served as president of the Canton Bowling League.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown with her niece Darla Henderson officiating. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the Lewistown American Legion Auxiliary or the Lewistown VFW Auxiliary.
