He was born Sept. 15, 1935, a son of Thomas and Golda “Babe” Bishop in Cuba. He married Beverly Helle on June 16, 1956. She survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Leesa Bishop-Beecham of Chicago; one daughter, Cathy Howd of Paris, Tenn.; one son, Brad (and Dawn) Bishop of Saint Paris, Ohio; 10 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Thomas Bishop.
He worked as a carpenter, building homes in the Cuba and Smithfield area, and at International Harvester in Canton before retiring in 1988.
He was a member of Cuba Christian Church.
There will be a Celebration of Life at a later date. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba is in charge of arrangements.
