He was born July 10, 1973, in Jacksonville, a son of Ronald Dale and Vicki Lynn Hymes Blakeman.
Surviving are his parents; paternal grandmother Vivian Henry of Quincy; significant other, Kristi Reusch of Macomb; one daughter, Charli Madelynn Blakeman of Macomb; two sons, Ross Larson Blakeman of Beardstown and Brant Paul Blakeman of Macomb; two brothers, Douglas Aaron (and Kirsten) Blakeman of Petersburg and Marc David Blakeman of Washington, D.C.; and one sister, Heather Renee (and Drew) Sommerville of Newburgh, Ind.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack Henry.
He attended Rushville High School and graduated from Beardstown High School in 1991. He then attended MacMurray College in Jacksonville, where he received his BA in Education. He was an elementary school teacher as well as a basketball and football coach. He especially enjoyed coaching Special Olympics for many years. He recently was employed as a grounds supervisor of the Macomb School District.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
