She was born July 21, 1951, in Cass County, a daughter of George and Alta Lashbrook Claassen.
Surviving are two children, Holy Acheson and William “Bill” Phillips, both of Rushville; her mother, Alta Claassen of Rushville; one sister, Julie (and Randy) Zorn of Coldwater, Mich.; and two grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her father; and one brother, Wayne Claassen.
She was a Certified Nursing Assistant for 17 years in surrounding nursing facilities.
Graveside services were held Saturday at the Rushville City Cemetery with Pastor Larry DeSha officiating.
