Mary Ellen Beatty, 85, of Cuba died at 3:50 p.m. March 3, 2018, at Clayberg Nursing Home in Cuba.
She was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Schuyler County, a daughter of Russell and Ruth Leonard Marquis. She married Carroll Beatty on Aug. 12, 1960, in Rushville. He survives.
Also surviving are one daughter, Ruth Ann (and Andy) Schoof of Cuba; one son, Mark (and Jenny) Beatty of Lewistown; one sister, Joann Stone of Mesa, Ariz.; two brothers, Robert Marquis and Larry (and Sandy) Marquis, both of Rushville; and four grandchildren.
She worked at the Clayberg Nursing Home as a housekeeper, retiring in 1995.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Cuba Cemetery with Kevin Stoneking officiating. Visitation will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria.
