Gerald Button

Gerald L. Button, 49, of Ipava died at 3:38 a.m. May 3, 2016, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

He was born May 8, 1966, in Peoria, a son of Donald and Judith Hodgkins Button Jr.

Surviving are his parents of Ipava; one daughter, Ashley (and Nick) Kouris of Commerce City, Colo.; one son, Gerald Button Jr. of Commerce City, Colo.; two brothers, Donald (and Terry) Button III of Fort Lupton, Colo., and Corey (and Tammie Pohl) Button of Dacono, Colo.; one granddaughter, Savannah Button; three nephews; and two nieces.

He worked as a mechanic before becoming a truck driver for Dairy Farmers of America.

He was a sheet metal specialist in the Air Force.

Services were held Saturday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Astoria. Cremation rites were accorded.
