Gene Baldock

Gene D. Baldock, 79, of rural Cuba died at 4:35 p.m. Sept. 15, 2015, at his home.

He was born March 28, 1936, in Canton, the son of Joseph and Anna Garret Baldock. He married Marcia Taylor on May 3, 1959, in Lewistown. She survives.

Also surviving are four daughters, Cindy Hezlep of Cuba, Daun (and Jerry) Lillie and Teresa Fitch, both of Lewistown, and Tammy (and Chris) Southwood of Astoria; one sister, Barbara (and Eugene) Springer of Youngstown, Ohio; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two infant grandchildren.

He retired from International Harvester in Canton with many years of service as a machine operator. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1959-61.

Cremation will be accorded. A graveside service was held Saturday at Apple Cemetery in rural Lewistown with Reverend Kathy Barrett officiating. A military service was conducted at the cemetery by the Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and the Lewistown American Legion Post 1. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
