Marjorie BrowningMarjorie Dean Browning, 90, of Galva, formerly of Rushville, died at 12:45 a.m. Feb. 20, 2015, at 1000 Courtyard Estates in Galva.

She was born July 18, 1924, in Camden, the daughter of Orval W. and Hazel Green Hare. She married Johnnie G. Dean on Nov. 17, 1944, in Rushville. He preceded her in death on Feb. 29, 1988. She then married John J. Browning on July 24, 1993, in Rushville. He survives.

Also surviving are two daughters, Nita (and Philip) Bellini of Rock Falls and Mary (and Logan) Stiers of Oneida; one son, Kent Dean of Rushville; seven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She graduated from Rushville High School in 1942.

She had been a long-time member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church and enjoyed being a member of Homemakers Extension and numerous bridge clubs. She also was a volunteer for delivering Meals-On-Wheels.

Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville with Rev. Dixie Croxton officiating. Burial will follow in Rushville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until the time of services.
