Floyd BellessFloyd E. Belless, 66, of Bernadotte, formerly of Liverpool, was pronounced dead at 3:45 p.m. March 8, 2014, in Bernadotte.

He was born Jan. 10, 1948, in Ipava, a son of Ernest L. and Zephyr I. Sanders Belless.

Surviving are one son, Tyrel (and Katelyn Mason) Belless of Lewistown; one daughter, Kelly (and Terry Kear) Belless of Havana; two brothers, Pete (and Missy) Belless of Ipava and Larry (and Angie) Belless of Liverpool; three sisters, Sharon (and Larry) St. Clair of St. David, Bonnie (and James) Robinson of Bloomington and Mary Belless of Canton; and one grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John Belless and Junior Belless.

He was a construction superintendent and project manager.

He was a member of Laborers Local 231.

He was a U.S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam.

He had been the mayor of Liverpool for 16 years.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown. Burial will be in Stites Cemetery in Bernadotte with a military service by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and Lewistown American Legion Bishop Post 1. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at the memorial home.

Memorials may be made to Ipava Fire and Rescue, Lewistown Fire and Rescue or Copperas Creek Fire and Rescue.
