She was born Nov. 9, 1917, in Seaton, the daughter of Henry and Nellie Flatley Haben. She married John Barrington in 1940 in Little York. He preceded her in death in 1948. She later married George Bratton in Norwood on March 25, 1953. He preceded her in death on Aug. 26, 1976.
She also was preceded in death by one brother, John Haben.
Surviving are two sons, Bill (and Sue) Barrington of Little York and Jerry (and Thelma) Barrington of Springfield; two daughters, Jane (and Tom) Brackemeyer of Sterling and Mary (and Bill) Ischer of Monmouth; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was raised and educated in Little York and graduated from Monmouth High School.
She owned and operated Mary's Beauty Shop in Little York for many years.
She was a member of Little York Methodist Church.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Monmouth with Rev. Agnes Brady of Norwood Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be in Little York Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Monmouth where her family will be present one hour prior to the services.
A memorial fund has been established to be designated later.
