Jack Bath Jr.Jack Bath Jr., 80, of Lewistown died at 1:35 p.m. Jan. 10, 2012, at Graham Hospital Extended Care.

He was born July 30, 1931, in Cuba, a son of Jack and Evelyne Jones Bath Sr. He married Shirlee JoAnn Harper on Sept. 22, 1951, in Lewistown. She preceded him in death on Aug. 15, 2011.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirlee Lynn (and Skip Ferguson) Cassidy of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Evelyn Kay (and Roger) Pillow of Houston, Texas; one brother, Kenneth (and June) Bath of Canton; and two grandchildren.

He graduated from Lewistown Community High School in 1949. He attended Culver Military Academy and was part of the Black Horse Troop.

He attended Knox College and graduated from Bradley University. While still in school, he worked at Rex Studio and Camera Shop in Peoria.

He was a retired Air Force Lieutenant Colonel serving from 1953-81. During his career, he was stationed in Marianna, Fla.; Westerfield, England; Macon, Ga.; Harrisburg, Pa.; Ramstein and Wiesbaden, Germany; Dayton, Ohio; San Antonio, Texas; and Colorado Springs, Colo. After retiring, he managed the shooting complex at Broadmoor Resort in Colorado Springs.

He was a member of the Air Force Pistol Team, Air Force Rod and Gun Club and hunting and fishing organizations. He also was a member of Lewistown First Presbyterian Church and Lewistown Masonic Lodge.

Services were held Saturday at his church with Reverend Danie deBeer officiating. Burial was in Apple Cemetery in rural Lewistown with military honors conducted by Lewistown VFW Post 5001 and American Legion Bishop Post 1.
