Norman E. Biesenthal, 93, of Springfield died June 17, 2011, at Pleasant Hill Nursing Home in Girard.
He was born Nov. 6, 1917, the son of Fred J. and Mary Paul Biesenthal.
Surviving are one daughter, Norma Jean Vanek of Orlando, Fla.; one son, Marvin (and Marilyn) Biesenthal of Lees Summit, Mo.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by Frances Buckles and Jeannette Truby.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.
He was a mechanic at Pendleton Moters.
Burial was held June 24, 2011, at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Springfield. Bisch and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
