R. Jean Bainter

R. Jean Bainter, 95, of Lewistown died at 3:47 a.m. June 16, 2011, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born Oct. 1, 1915, in Cuba, a daughter of Ross and Corda Casper Henderson. She married C. Leo Bainter on Feb. 1, 1934, in Lewistown. He died Nov. 8, 1992.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers, four sisters, one grandson and one great-granddaughter.

Surviving are one son, Eugene Bainter of Lewistown; two daughters, Marjorie Easley of Hot Springs Village, Ark., and Mary Cox of Canton; seven grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and 14 great-great-grandchildren.

She was a cook for 17 years for Lewistown School District.

She was a 60-year member of Lewistown Rebecca Lodge.

Graveside services were held Saturday at Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown with Reverend Danie deBeer officiating. Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown was in charge of arrangements.
