Dorothy L. Barrett, 87, of Lewistown died at 8:20 a.m. Aug. 17, 2010, at her home.

She was born Jan. 2, 1923, in Lewistown, a daughter of Ronald and Cecilia White Lynch. She married Clark P. Robertson on Feb. 14, 1946, in Havana. He preceded her in death on March 10, 1971. She then married Edwin Barrett on Sept. 24, 1976, in Ipava. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1977.

She also was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Max Lynch; and two sisters, Annabel Gray and Peggy Moore.

Surviving are one daughter, LuAnne (and Frank) Shubert of St. David; one son, Ron (and Jody) Robertson of Ipava; one stepdaughter, Roberta (and Larry) McCormick of Lewistown; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; five step grandchildren; 13 step great-grandchildren; and one step great-great-grandchild.

She first worked for Dr. Landis from 1941 to 1946, she was owner/operator of her own beauty shop in Ipava from 1957 to 1971, was secretary at Farm Bureau Insurance from 1971 to 1976 and worked as bookkeeper at Pratt Furniture in Lewistown from 1978 to 1992.

She was a member of Illinois Street Christian Church in Lewistown and Lewistown VFW Auxiliary. She served on various committees throughout her life.

Services were held Friday at Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava with Pastor Ray Greenfield officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery.
