Ruth Buxton

Ruth BuxtonRuth O. Buxton, 90, of Cuba died at 6:30 a.m. May 13, 2010, at Clayberg Nursing Home.

She was born Jan. 7, 1920, in Deerfield Township, Fulton County, a daughter of John and Grace Baughman Miller. She married Fredrick Clyde Buxton on Dec. 26, 1937, in Fort Madison, Iowa. He died June 16, 1961.

She also was preceded in death by one grandson, Randy Leonard; two brothers; and one sister.

Surviving are one daughter, JoAnn (and Wayne) Leonard of Cuba; four grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She retired from Bower Manufacturing in Macomb, and also worked at the former Day and Palin IGA in Cuba.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Andy Fyffe officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the memorial home. Burial will be in Cuba Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to Cuba Assembly of God Church or Cass-Putman Rescue Squad.
