Madeline Buck

Madeline Buck, 78, of Marietta died at 1:30 p.m. May 18, 2009, at Graham Hospital in Canton.

She was born May 10, 1931, in Dunfermline, a daughter of Charles and Bessie McCanlis Moore. She married Donald D. White on June 2, 1948, in Lewistown. He died Aug. 24, 1979.

She also was preceded in death by one foster son, George Rush; two brothers and five sisters.

Surviving are one son, Everett (and Connie) White of Table Grove; four daughters, Jennifer (and Jerry) Brooks, Donita (and Gene) Kinzer, Lois Hardin and Betty Fenner, all of Marietta; one sister, Alberta Hammond of Canton; 13 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker, and cooked at Western Illinois University in Macomb for many years.

Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Pastor John Douglas officiating. Burial will be in Marietta Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday at the memorial home.
