She was born Oct. 19, 1924, in Paris, Tenn., a daughter of Hogan P. and Marcie Evie Lemonds Green.
Surviving are one daughter, Brenda J. (and Maurice) Bowers Nelson of Geneseo; two sisters, Bernidean Hurt of Useus, Fla., and Oneta McKeever of Foley, Mo.; one brother, Dorris (and Betty) Green of O’Fallon, Mo.; two grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one son, Garth Burton, Jr.; one brother, Dale Green; and two grandchildren, Kim LaNette Bowers and Brian Bowers.
Cremation has been accorded. Services are planned for a later date. Worthington Funeral Home in Rushville is in charge of arrangements.
