Evelyn Baughman

Evelyn L. Baughman, 71, of Cuba died at 6:23 p.m. June 18, 2008, at Graham Hospital Emergency Room.

She was born Dec. 20, 1936, in Cuba, a daughter of Clyde and Ruth Norton Murphy. She married William E. Baughman on Aug. 28, 1954, in Smithfield.

Surviving are one son, Jerry (and Teresa) Baughman of Cuba; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Richard Murphy; and three sisters, Dorothy Clark, Annawayne Kruzan and Patsy Murphy.

She had worked at the former Cox’s Corner in Cuba, Clayberg Nursing Home and former Cuba Journal. She later worked as a greeter at HyVee and Wal-Mart, and a volunteer at Graham Hospital Gift Shop.

She was a member of Cuba Christian Church and Royal Neighbors of America.

Services were held Monday at Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Cuba with Rev. Amy Wharton officiating. Burial was in Cuba Cemetery.
