Kay BartleyKay Bartley, 86, of Loveland, Colo., died March 9, 2008, at Hospice Care Center in Loveland.

She was born March 17, 1921, in Astoria, a daughter of Harry and Frances MacLaren Parr.

Surviving are two daughters, Mary Kay (and Mike) Cwik of Loveland and Patricia “Trish” Engelbrecht of Broomfield, Colo.; one sister, Winifred McCormick of Fort Collins, Colo.; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

She graduated after two years at the University of Iowa High School in 1939, then from a business school in Peoria.

She was a legal secretary for Jack Walker Law Firm in Lansing and was a legal secretary for eight years at Continental Bank in Chicago. She was an advocate in the Lansing Historical Society and a local and national president of Beta Gamma Upsilon Sorority.

She moved from Lansing to Loveland in 1990.

She was a member of the Veteran’s Motor Car Club of America and historian for Loveland Welcome Wagon for many years.

She worked at the Tuesday Morning stores in Loveland/Fort Collins until retiring at age 84.

Services were held Sunday at Viegut Funeral Home in Loveland.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Larimer County in care of Viegut Funeral Home.
