VeteranEldon Brookhart

Eldon "Buzz" Brookhart, 88, of Table Grove died at 12:20 p.m. Aug. 18, 2006, at Elms Nursing Home in Macomb.

He was born Nov. 14, 1917, in Williamstown, Mo., a son of John R. and Ethel Mae Washburn Brookhart. He married Julia Hulvey on April 17, 1965, in Kahoka, Mo. She died Sept. 27, 2001.

He also was preceded in death by four brothers, Glenn, Otis, Everette and Ralph; and one sister, Leona Waller.

Surviving are one cousin, and several nieces and nephews.

He served in the Army during World War II.

He was a farmer and worked at Vaughan & Bushnell Manufacturing and retired from NTN Bower in Macomb.

He was a member of Table Grove American Legion, VFW Post 1422, Macomb Elks Lodge, Ipava Eastern Star, Quincy Consistory, Mohammad Shrine, Roseville Masonic Lodge and LaMoine Valley Shrine.

Services were held Monday at the Dodsworth-Piper-Wallen Funeral Home in Macomb. Burial was in Harris Cemetery in Table Grove.
