MAXINE O. (BRINEGAR) BUTLER

Maxine Butler

Maxine O. Butler, 89, of Lewistown died at 9:38 a.m. July 31, 2006, at Graham Hospital Extended Care in Canton.

She was born Aug. 13, 1916, in Rural Tarkio, Mo., a daughter of William Albinus and Clara Coppenbarger Brinegar. She married Squire G. Butler on Sept. 14, 1935, in Havana. He died Aug. 6, 1993.

She also was preceded in death by three brothers.

Surviving are one son, Squire (and Sandra) of Princeville; two daughters, Cheryl (and Jack) Taylor and Patti (and Kendall) Miller, both of Lewistown; one brother, Ted (and Betty) Brinegar of Fithian; one sister, Charlene Tyra of Texarkana, Texas; eight grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Lewistown United Methodist Church.

Services will be held Thursday at her church with Rev. Bill Bunnage officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery in Lewistown. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Henry-Lange Memorial Home in Lewistown.

Memorials may be made to the Lewistown Rescue Squad or to her church.
