She was born October 19, 1905, in Browning, a daughter of Charles and Mildred (Schultz) Douglas. She married John Baslis on March 19, 1928, in Kewanee. He died in 1959.
She also was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
Surviving are one daughter, Mary Ann (and Bill) Jones of Toulon; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and one brother, Charles (and Winnie) Douglas of Quincy.
She owned the Star Cleaner in Kewanee for many years and also worked as cashier for Bracken's and the Wanee Farm Restaurant prior to retirement.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee.
She was the scorekeeper for the Kewanee Ball Hawks women's softball team for many years.
Services were held Dec. 14 at the Schueneman-Tumbleson Funeral Home in Kewanee with Rev. K. Bruce Rushing officiating. Burial was in Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee.
