Betty I. Batterton, 78, of Table Grove died at 7:33 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 19, 2002, at the home of her daughter in Green Bay, Wis.
She was born Sept. 24, 1924, in Macomb, a daughter of Bert and Maude Walker Moran. She married Evan Hughes on Feb. 1, 1948, in Table Grove. He preceded her in death. She later married Sheldon Batterton on Oct. 11, 1963, in Table Grove. He died Nov. 11, 1987.
She also was preceded in death by one sister; one brother; one stepdaughter; and one stepson.
Surviving are two daughters, Nancy (and Charles) Wickwire of Florence, Ala., and Connie (and Randy) Connour of Green Bay; five grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; one great-grandson; and 10 stepgreat-grandchildren.
She had been a bookkeeper for the Savings and Loan in Table Grove and a secretary for Table Grove Community Church, where she was a member.
She was a member of Chapter C of the PEO.
Services were held Sunday at her church with Frank Bush officiating. Burial was in Ipava Cemetery. Shawgo Memorial Home in Ipava was in charge of arrangements.
