Nancy Bohler

Nancy R. Bohler, 61, of Canton died at 7:47 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2002, in the Graham Hospital emergency room.

She was born Aug. 19, 1941, in Summum, a daughter of Wayne and Faith Ward Lawver. She married Ronald Bohler on Dec. 30, 1968, in Canton. He survives.

Also surviving are one daughter, Neisha Bohler of Bartonville; one grandson; one brother, David (and Jill) Lawver of Lewistown; and one sister, Norma Ganson of Easton.

She was preceded in death by one sister.

A 1963 graduate of Graham Hospital School of Nursing, she first worked at the Fulton-McDonough Health Department, where she was instrumental in setting up the family planning program. She then worked as the director of nursing at Mason District Hospital in Havana and also served as its interim administrator.

She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Canton, where a funeral Mass was held Monday with Rev. Arthur Meyer officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery in Canton. Murphy-Sedgwick Memorial Home was in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to an education fund for her grandson, Zachery Schwindenhammer, established at MidAmerica National Bank in Canton.
